When Sally Sparks was younger, she wore glasses, had braces, and wore a ponytail. She was every interested with learning about science and weather, but started to to get made fun of by her other classmates. To try to fit in with other kids in her class she completely ditched her old look and stopped talking about the stuff she was truly interested in just to fit in. This is an example of the changes in one's behavior. Because Sally's behavior was seen more abnormal she was made fun of, causing her to change it into a more socially expected behavior.
Cognition Pillar
Flint Lockwood and his father seem to have different perceptions on their environment for majority of the movie. After making the machine and finally getting the recognition Flint wanted it seems the fame started to get into his head, which led to him to really lack in seeing the damage he was causing to the world. One night while having diner with his father, his father expressed how how he has noticed the food was starting to double in size, and expressed that this could lead to a bigger issue for the people, and stated that Flint should probably turn off the machine. In Flint's perception he felt as though his father could just never see the good that he was doing for the town and that his father just always thought of him more as a disappointment.
Life Span Development and Learning Pillar
In the movie Flint Lockwood tried to solve the the rat problem the town was having by messing with their life span development by combining the rats with birds in attempt to get them to fly away. Flint thought that by changing the life span development of both the rats and bird, could help better change the environment for the town, but in reality he created the most disgusting creature one could ever see and effecting the life and environment for the rats, birds, and the people of the town.
Social and Personality Pillar
Flint Lockwood spend most of his life being an outcast in the town he grew up in, which led him to staying inside making different inventions at home. This really caused Flint Lockwood to lack in his ability to socialize with others and not knowing really anything about interacting with others or playing. But later on in the movie a much younger boy invited Flint to have a snow ball fight with him and the other kids which Flint was at first confused about because he has never done something like that before. But he quickly understood the concept and went around rapidly attacking people with snowballs. This shows that even though he lacked the ability to socialize and play with others, it was never too late to still try and do it.
Mental and Physical Health Pillar
The main character Flint Lockwood invented a machine that could make any different types of food fall from the sky. Although this sounds like a amazing idea at first, when you really think it about it, with all those kinds of unhealthy food falling from the sky, and people constantly eating them, could generally affect their mental health. This will also cause people to not be more physically active and to continuously eat more. An example of this would be the major of the town who was once in well shape, but over time with him eating it began to lack staying physically active and to just keep eating constantly.
